The first train has now operated on the new connection, enabling direct rail access to the logistics site in Galicia.

COMSA Corporación, in a joint venture with CIVIS Global, has completed the rail siding connecting the Salvaterra-As Neves Industrial Logistics Platform (Plisan) to Spain’s main rail network.

The project was promoted by the Port Authority of Vigo in coordination with Adif. Works included installation of the turnout connecting the siding to the main line, integration of signalling and communications into existing control centres, and adaptation of the catenary to the new track layout.

The intervention was carried out within restricted possession windows while maintaining railway safety requirements on the operational network.

With the siding commissioned, Plisan gains direct rail connectivity, linking the industrial and logistics platform to the Port of Vigo and the wider Spanish rail network.
