NEG has been awarded the contract for the Dagebüll section of the Marschbahn regional rail transport contract. This means that NEG will continue to offer transport services on its own infrastructure, the Niebüll - Dagebüll route. The new contract will run from December 2025 to December 2034.
"We are delighted to have won the tender for the Niebüll - Dagebüll route," says Julian Rönsch, Managing Director of NEG, in response to the news from NAH.SH, which today awarded the contract to NEG on behalf of the Schleswig-Holstein Ministry of Economics, Transport, Labour, Technology and Tourism.
This is the first time in the company's history that NEG has competed for transport services on its own route. "We attribute our success to the fact that we put together a good bid for a complex contract, also in the interests of our passengers," says Bernd Jensen, Head of Rail Transport at NEG.
