The 600 leased MFD Rail container carrier wagons are specifically tailored to RCG's needs and designed for use with the MOBILER configuration. In combination with the MOBILER's hydraulic lifting system, goods can be transferred between train and truck without the need for a crane or siding. The innovative logistics solution is also being used to transport waste by rail in an environmentally friendly way.
The first 100 newly produced container wagons have already arrived and are being used in various areas of waste management logistics. The next tranche is planned for 2024 and will include a further 100 specially branded container carrier wagons to be delivered to RCG in the first half of that year.
In 2023, more than 200,000 tonnes of waste have already been contracted in accordance with the amended Waste Management Act and will be transported by rail in a sustainable manner.
