City Cube, meeting room 3, level 3 of the InnoTrans trade fair will be on Wednesday, September 21st at 2 pm to witness an expert's discussion on the topic Enhancing Data Interoperability in the Railway Sector. This workshop is held by the European Union Agency for Railways. Among others, the speakers are Ralf-Charley Schultze, International Union for Road-Rail Combined Transport (UIRR), Christopher Carr or Marina Aguado from European Union Agency for Railways, and Ctirad Klimanek from RAILVIS.com.
"I am confident that within a decade Europe will be completely linked through digital platforms, all information will be administered in one list, everything will be accessible and can be ordered with a few clicks and all railway companies will work together across Europe," Klimanek explains his point of view about working with data on the railway.
InnoTrans is the leading international trade fair for transport technology and takes place every two years in Berlin. Sub-divided into the five trade fair segments Railway Technology, Railway Infrastructure, Public Transport, Interiors, and Tunnel Construction, InnoTrans occupies all 42 halls available at Berlin Exhibition Grounds.
A unique feature of InnoTrans is its outdoor and track display area, where everything from tank wagons to high-speed trains is displayed on 3,5 kilometers of track. InnoTrans is organized by Messe Berlin.
