The wagons will be deployed on Be Modal's forthcoming rail connection linking Rennes with Vénissieux.

Logistics company Be Modal has secured a lease agreement with rolling stock provider Ermewa for 50 ninety-foot freight wagons.

The leased wagon set is intended to maintain regular intermodal service on the route, which connects Brittany's capital, Rennes, with the terminal at Vénissieux, near Lyon. According to Be Modal, the introduction of the wagons is aimed at optimizing logistics flows and securing consistent operations between these two freight hubs.

Operations will primarily rely on these newly leased wagons to streamline rotations and manage higher volumes on the route. The Rennes–Vénissieux connection is scheduled to begin commercial operation shortly, with final preparations now underway.

Ermewa, the rolling stock lessor, is providing the wagons under standard leasing terms, complementing Be Modal’s planned logistics service. The specific technical details or leasing conditions were not disclosed.
