Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK) has received 11 bids in the tender for the design and construction of road links around the future airport. The contracts cover approximately 90 km of new and upgraded roads, with a total value exceeding PLN 1.7 billion, or around €400 million.

The tender follows framework agreements signed in April last year with 14 contractors and consortia, which allowed CPK to launch the executive procurement stage. The company expects the tender to be concluded and all three contracts signed by mid-2026.

The road works are scheduled to be completed in the second half of 2031, including the required occupancy permits. The new road network is intended to connect the airport with the A2 motorway, National Road No. 50 and local roads.

“The construction of the road network will ensure the efficient integration of the new airport into the national transport system. We are creating a new standard for integrating air, road and rail transport as part of one of the most important infrastructure projects in Poland’s history,” said Filip Czernicki, CEO of Centralny Port Komunikacyjny, Port Polska Programme.

The investment will include around 40 engineering structures, including bridges, viaducts and wildlife crossings. More than 100 environmental and hydrological culverts, about 12 km of acoustic and anti-glare barriers, pedestrian and cycling infrastructure and environmental protection facilities are also planned.

The project has been divided into three sections. These cover the Eastern Airport Connection to the A2 motorway at the Baranów junction, the Eastern Airport Ring Road, and the Northern and Western Airport Ring Roads, including the upgrade of National Road No. 50 and the Wiskitki interchange.

CPK expects each of the three executive contracts to be awarded to a different contractor.

The 11 bidders are:

  • Budimex S.A.
  • Consortium of Unibep S.A. and Track Tec Construction
  • Duna Polska S.A.
  • PORR S.A.
  • Mostostal Warszawa S.A.
  • Strabag Sp. z o.o.
  • Przedsiębiorstwo Usług Technicznych Intercor Sp. z o.o.
  • Consortium of Rubau Polska and Terlot
  • NDI S.A.
  • Trakcja S.A.
  • Consortium of Mirbud and Kobylarnia

The road package is one of the supporting infrastructure elements for the future airport, alongside the high-speed rail investments being prepared under the same Port Polska programme.
