The restructuring separates the company’s core activities into three branches: Leasing, Logistics, and Production.

VTG has introduced a new organisational structure, effective from 2 September 2025, by establishing two distinct business divisions alongside its existing Leasing unit.

The Production division will concentrate on the technical upkeep and readiness of the company’s fleet, while the Logistics division will handle rail transport services across European markets.

As part of the realignment, Michael Eckelsberger takes over the Leasing division, which remains the company’s largest segment. Dr. Martin Neese will lead the newly created Logistics division, while Thomas Jäger is appointed to head the new Production division. Each unit will operate under an independent governance model with dedicated executive leadership.

The restructuring is intended to improve internal processes, adjust to varying market conditions, and define clearer areas of responsibility. According to the company, the change reflects a shift towards more agile operations and a closer alignment with customer requirements.
