RAILMARKET.com has been visiting InnoTrans 2022 and today is the opportunity to focus on freight transport vehicles represented by DB Cargo.
First of them is Siemens Mobility's Vectron Dual Mode light which connecting of customer sides with shunting yards and rail freight services on short distances on electrified and non-electrified routes.
The second is a modular carrying wagon combined with multifunctional freight loading units for transporting all common types of scrap metals, separated by type.
The next one is a modular carrying wagon combined with multifunctional freight loading units for transporting coils secured in cradles with a mechanism for fixing sheets in position and gratings to maximize occupational safety.
The last wagon can be used for transporting logs and sawn timber. There is also variable positioning of timber bunks and support bolsters.
DB Cargo also presented Digital Automatic Coupler enabling digitalization and automation in rail operations with four levels of functionality.
