The agreement will give future Vectron operators access to 11 Technis maintenance sites, mobile service teams and almost 500 specialised employees across France.
Technis locations in Lens, Dijon and Thionville, among others, are positioned along major French passenger and freight corridors. They will be connected with Siemens Mobility’s wider European depot and service network.
Siemens will contribute its technical knowledge of the Vectron platform, diagnostic and predictive maintenance tools, spare-parts logistics and digital service systems. Technis will provide the local workshops, industrial capacity and mobile maintenance resources.
“The French rail market plays an important role in the continued growth of Vectron in Europe,” said Elmar Zeiler, CEO Customer Services at Siemens Mobility. He said the partnership would prepare local support for fleet availability and long-term operation.
Technis President Tristan Rouzès said the company expected the cooperation to support both future locomotive operators and the development of rail freight in France.
Spare parts will be managed through Siemens Mobility’s MoBase digital platform, which provides access to more than 8,000 part references for identification, ordering and delivery.
The companies did not provide a timetable for the first Vectron locomotives to enter commercial operation in France.
