The Czech Republic have confirmed that a regular service from Prague to Gdynia via Leszno will start in December 2024.

The service will be operated by České dráhy in cooperation with PKP Intercity. Modern trains will run all year round, not just at weekends or in the summer. The first trains will start running in December 2024, with the Prague-Gdynia train passing through Leszno.

"The quality of the carriages and the level of service will be in line with customer requirements," says České dráhy.

Originally, České dráhy was only supposed to carry passengers from Prague to Wroclaw. However, the route was extended to Gdynia. It is said that the Czechs want to operate the line with the most modern carriages in Europe, produced by Siemens in a consortium with Skoda.
